Layered Waterproofing

The key to fluid play without anxiety is layering waterproof protection. Layer one: mattress protector (waterproof, $30-60*) underneath the mattress. This protects the mattress itself. Layer two: waterproof sex blanket from HIB ($40-80*) on top of the mattress. Layer three: regular bedding on top.

For furniture: the MILKER and ASSTRONAUT have PU leather surfaces (wipe-clean, fluid-resistant). Underneath the furniture, place a waterproof mat ($30-50*) to catch any drips that make it through. The mat slides under the furniture; after play, you remove and wash it.

For the floor: a rubber mat (waterproof) under all furniture catches splash and drips. This is essential for oil play or heavy squirting.

Pro tip: have waterproof protection that's easy to remove and wash. The HIB blanket washes in cold water, dries quickly, and stores flat. The floor mats wipe clean or wash with a hose.

Fluid-Resistant Surfaces

The ASSTRONAUT queening chair: PU leather surface. Wipe clean with a microfiber cloth and enzyme cleaner. Dries in minutes. Fluid cannot penetrate the surface.

The MILKER table: padded PU leather surface with a penetration hole (obvious fluid path). The hole typically has a collection space underneath (fluid tray or drip zone). Check your specific model. The MILKER CLASSIC has a drainage tray under the hole. The MILKER MALE has similar drainage.

Fabric furniture: avoid. A fabric-covered bench or cushioned chair absorbs fluids permanently. Stick with vinyl, PU leather, or hard surfaces for messy play.

Cleanup Strategy

Immediate cleanup: have enzyme cleaner and microfiber towels staged in the room before play. Enzyme cleaner ($8-15* per bottle) breaks down biological material and eliminates odor. A bottle and roll of paper towels take up minimal space in a drawer or basket.

Post-play routine: (1) remove waterproof blanket and set aside to wash. (2) Wipe down furniture with enzyme cleaner. (3) Wipe down floor mats. (4) Replace regular bedding. (5) Wash waterproof blanket. Total time: 15 minutes.

Delayed cleanup is enemy number one. Biological material sets into fabrics and fibers within hours. Immediate cleanup prevents permanent staining and odor.

Enzyme cleaner works best on fresh stains. Store a bottle in the room. For dried stains on fabric (mistakes happen), soak the area with enzyme solution for 30 minutes before washing.

Room Layout for Mess

Central play zone: position the primary furniture (MILKER, bed, ASSTRONAUT) in the center of a waterproof mat or rubber flooring. This contains fluid to one area, preventing splash to walls, corners, or other room areas.

Storage containment: keep cleanup supplies (enzyme, towels, trash) near the play zone. You don't want to drip fluid across the room to find cleaning supplies.

Flooring material: hardwood is hard to clean; carpet absorbs fluids. Luxury vinyl plank (LVP) or rubber is ideal. LVP looks like wood, wipes clean, and is waterproof. If your room has carpet, place a large rubber mat (4x6 feet, $50-100*) over the carpet. This isolates fluid from carpet.
